Those who are just getting familiar with such a concept as \u2018arbitrage\u2019 should first of all learn the basic terms in traffic arbitrage. Basic terms in traffic arbitrage<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

In this section we have collected the most basic terms in traffic arbitrage. If you are already familiar with the basic concepts, move on to the advanced terms.\n\n\n\n

Advertiser<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

Advertiser (advert) is a customer (manufacturer or online shop) who participates in an affiliate programme. In the affiliate programme he receives orders for his products or services and pays a commission to the arbitrageur who brought the buyer or customer.\n\n\n\n

Antifraud<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

Anti fraud is an anti-cheating system implemented by an affiliate programme. Anti fraud system allows to detect and ban unscrupulous webmasters who supply the customer with fake buyers (customers).

Approve<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

Approve is the approval of an order by the advertiser. Example: 5 orders were made through your affiliate link, and in ePN statistics you will see the approval of all five orders.\n\n\n\n

Arbitrage<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

Arbitrage (traffic arbitrage) is the redirection of traffic from one source (paid or free) to another. The traffic source can be a group in a social network, a website, a video blog or a purchased advert. Traffic is directed to the advertiser’s website (online shop, online service), which pays for orders confirmed (paid\/received) by the customer.\n\n\n\n

Vertical<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

Vertical is a niche, or direction of work in traffic arbitrage (goods and services, adult, gambling, betting, dating, nutra, etc.).\n\n\n\n

Install<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

Install (App Install) is the installation of an app by a user, paid for by an advertiser (in most cases, the app developer) under the CPI model.\n\n\n\n

Case<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

A case is a ready-made scheme (a bundle) for draining traffic to a particular offer (type of offer) and from a particular source. For example, a case for dumping traffic on weight loss from Instagram.\n\n\n\n

Conversion<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

Conversion is the transition from viewing an article (advert) or clicking on an advert to purchasing a product or service. Conversion is more often expressed in numerical format: for example, you can say, conversion 1 to 20 – it means that out of twenty people who clicked on the link, one person makes an order. Conversion is also counted as a percentage: 5% is a very high conversion rate from a click to a purchase.\n\n\n\n

Creative<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

Creative (creo, ad creative) is the visual part of an AD: a picture + text, gif + text or video + text that encourages the user to click and make a purchase. The more clickable (enticing) the creative, the better.\n\n\n\n

Cookies<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

Cookies are data about a user’s visit to a website that is stored in the user’s browser. Many advertisers pay for user purchases made not at one time, but over a period of time – for example, 7 days. This period is called the lifetime of cookies and is set by the advertiser.\n\n\n\n

Offer<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

An offer is a specific online shop (online service) or product that participates in an affiliate programme.\n\n\n\n

Affiliate programme<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

Affiliate programme is a form of cooperation between a shop and a webmaster (arbitrageur). An affiliate programme gives the former access to thousands of webmasters who are ready to send traffic to an offer and guarantees the quality of traffic, and the latter – convenient statistics, affiliate links that take into account clicks and transitions, technical and advisory support on earning.\n\n\n\n

Ticket<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

A ticket is a message in the communication system between a webmaster (arbitrageur) and an affiliate programme, where you can ask questions, get support and advice.\n\n\n\n

CPA-network<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

CPA-network is a platform where affiliate programmes of different advertisers are combined.\n\n\n\n

CPA<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

CPA (cost per action) is a payment model in which an arbitrator receives payment for a specific action: buying a product, ticket, ordering a service, subscribing to a service.\n\n\n\n

CPI<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

CPI (cost per install) is a type of CPA model, in which the target action is installation – installation of a mobile application or desktop programme.\n\n\n\n

CPC<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

CPC (cost per click) is a payment model in which an arbitrageur is paid per user click on a link or banner ad.\n\n\n\n

CPL<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

CPL (cost per lead) is a payment model where the advertiser pays the webmaster for the client’s data (name, surname, phone number, email address).\n\n\n\n

CPM<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

CPM (cost per mille) is the cost of an advert per thousand impressions.\n\n\n\n

Adult<\/h5>\n\n\n\n

Adult is earning money from affiliate programmes of dating and 18+ sites;\n\n\n\n

Gambling<\/h5>\n\n\n\n

Gambling is earning money by attracting players to online gambling games;\n\n\n\n

Goods CPA<\/h5>\n\n\n\n

Goods CPA is an affiliate programme where the offers are goods;\n\n\n\n

Betting<\/h5>\n\n\n\n

Betting is earning money by attracting players to betting shops;\n\n\n\n

Pharma<\/h5>\n\n\n\n

Pharma is earning on selling medical (near-medical) goods;\n\n\n\n

Classic affiliate<\/h5>\n\n\n\n

In a classic affiliate, white online shops and services act as offeers.\n\n\n\n

Deeplink<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

A deeplink is a link that allows you to direct traffic to a page that is currently prioritised by the advertiser (e.g. a sale landing page).\n\n\n\n

Affiliates<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

Affiliate sites are sites owned by the same company or arbitrage team and promoted for the same (or similar) search queries. The purpose of creating affiliate sites is to monopolise the rendition for important (usually commercial) queries.\n\n\n\n

Backlink<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

Backlink (backlink) is a purchased or free hyperlink from the donor resource to your site (acceptor). Backlinks play an important role for the ranking of the site in search engines (especially in google).\n\n\n\n

Hold<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

Hold – is the time for which the agency fee is frozen on the partner’s account and is not available for withdrawal. This is to ensure that the buyer has time to receive the product and does not return it within the legal 14 days.\n\n\n\n

Cloaking<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

Cloaking is a method in which the server shows different versions of the site to different visitors (people, bots, search engine robots): changing regionality, contacts, prices, links.\u00a0\n\n\n\n
